The presentation will include an overview of the nature of the ECO and highlights from central themes in the 2018 annual report. Dr. Dianne Saxe is a watchdog over Ontario’s environmental, energy and climate performance, and guardian of the Environmental Bill of Rights. The talk comes at an important time, as the Government of Ontario’s Bill 57 would eliminate the role of the Environmental Commissioner as an independent officer of the Legislative Assembly.
